Build Lebanon Trails (BLT) invited you to join us on Saturday April 12, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. for the COMMUNITY NATURE WALK at Peterson's Butte Trail This is a special permission area. Access has been prearranged for this special hike. Slight hope remains for this hike in following years. Download Hike Flyer here This particular hike has poison oak in some areas, so NO DOGS, PLEASE! Dogs would tend to spread the rash causing oil, urushiol (oo-roo-she-all). Tec Labs provides Tecnu for protection. (When used within 2-8 hours after exposure to the plants, Tecnu can remove urushiol oil before the rash begins.) Peterson's Butte Trail Degree of Difficulty RIGOROUS: Steep Incline Length of Time / Miles 2 hours / 2.5 miles The hike elevation change ranges from 400 feet at the bottom, to 1400 feet at the top. Expect steep inclines; rocky soil surfaces with very uneven footing at times. Wear footwear and clothing appropriate for weather conditions. Landowner also requests no dogs on this hike. Dr. Raylene Gordin will be providing information about the flora and fauna of this area. Undeveloped trail - Uneven terrain - Bring walking sticks. We will be meeting rain or shine on the North side of the Butte: Travel west on Airport Rd. out of Lebanon about 1 mile past the airport. At the first bend in the road, do not turn, but go straight onto Polly Farm Lane. BLT event signs will guide you to the parking location.
