COMMUNITY NATURE WALK See the Presentation here. Marks Slough Trail Degree of Difficulty MODERATE: Uneven Terrain Length of Time / Miles 1.5 hours / 1.5 miles

City of Lebanon Maintenance Services Division Manager - Rod Sell and BLT members provided information about the development of the Marks Slough Trail and showed how this trail will connect to the historic Santiam Wagon Trail and the West River Trail that runs along the scenic Santiam River.    Dr Raylene Gordin discussed the prospects of enhancing bird habitat with an emphasis on the construction and placement of Western Bluebird nesting boxes.    Kris Richardson's Science Class from Pioneer School gave a brief overview of their hard work at Had Irvine Park.

Getting there: > OR-34 Corvallis - Lebanon HWY becomes E Wheeler 0.4 miles > E Wheeler St. becomes Tenessee Rd. SE 0.2 miles > Turn LEFT onto Beaton Ln. < 0.1 miles    The tour began at Beaton Lane just south of the Lebanon City Water Treatment Plant. There were BLT signs and the KGAL/KSHO broadcast vehicle for visibility. Bring your binoculars, enjoy the scenic views and watch wildlife in its natural habitat! Don't Forget Your Camera!

Build Lebanon Trails invites you to join us the second Saturday of each month as we hike one of the Community Nature Trails! Join us the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm for the monthly BLT meeting at the Lebanon Senior Center.
